Wokingham District Council makes the final decisions on all Finchampstead planning applications. The Parish Council has a legal right to be consulted on planning applications and meets every 3 weeks to examine and consider all Finchampstead applications, full details of which are provided to us by Wokingham District Council. The Parish Council does not have the authority to reject or approve applications but our recommendations are forwarded to Wokingham District Council. Members of the Planning Committee sometimes attend Wokingham District Council Development Control Committee Meetings or Planning Inspectorate Public Enquiries, to voice the Parish’s support or opposition to more contentious applications. Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings of the Planning Committee. The Chairman will normally allow you an opportunity to voice your concern or support for any application under consideration. If you wish your views on an application to be considered, you should send your comments to the Planning Department at Wokingham District Council but please be sure to copy Finchampstead Parish Council, so that we are aware of your views when we consider the application. Should you also wish to make contact with the Planning Committee contact details can be found on the members page to the left. Meeting schedules can be found here. Agendas and minutes are located here. You can now view the latest application details including any plans submitted online using the Wokingham District Council database or via their PlanAccess system.
