California Cross Roads in the 1930's Haymakers at Manor Farm. At the turn of the century most of Finchampstead's inhabitants were involved with agriculture. Nine Mile Ride (close to California Country Park) Kingsmere Lake in the 1930's California pavillion in the 1930's (it had a glass floored ballroom) Wellingtonia Avenue - the sequoia tree were planted in 1863 to commemorate the life of the Duke of Wellington. Queen's Oak in the 1920's. Offering accomodation for cyclists and good stabling! The Tally Ho - now Bluebeckers, looking back towards Fleet Hill and Vann House The Ridges (close to the Triangulation Point with Wellingtonia Avenue)
