Water main improvement scheme and road maintenance on Finchampstead Road South East Water is replacing 1,800 metres of old cast iron water mains in Finchampstead Road, Wokingham with a single new, plastic water main. The new water main will be laid, in phases, between Tesco and Evendons Lane. The work is scheduled to start on February 27 and will take approximately four months to complete. During this time, traffic will be diverted. Routes are being agreed with Wokingham District Council. However, access into Finchampstead Road will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles. Wokingham District Council will also carry out improvements to its own highway drainage system and also road resurfacing work at the same time.
