Following discussions with Reading Buses, the service provider, it has been decided the shuttle bus between California Country Park and Sheerlands Road will end on Saturday 18 April.
Since lockdown measures were introduced by the Government following the COVID-19 outbreak, the number of people using the service has dropped considerably and therefore the service is no longer sustainable.
We are very sorry for any disruption this may cause and once Government lockdown measures have been eased, we will review the situation again.
Despite the pressures of coronavirus, our contractor has continued to make fantastic progress on the £1.4 million investment into revamping the water network in your area. This vital project will ensure we can continue to supply the area with drinking water as the community grows.
Working safely and following strict guidelines on social distancing, we have now installed more than 2.5 kilometres of new water main so far.
