If you or anyone you know is interested in working for a large, busy and proactive Parish Council we currently have two part time vacancies.

  • We are looking for a part time Planning Committee Clerk to support the work of the Council’s busy Planning Committee and to undertake other administrative tasks relating to the wider activities of the Council as required.

    This is a part time post, up to 50 hours per month.  Excellent IT and administrative skills are required together with a broad understanding of the planning system. The salary is from £20,092 per annum pro rata, depending on skills and experience.

  • We have also created a new part time post of Deputy Clerk to support and deputise for the Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer. This role will include involvement with the financial affairs and the general management of the Council, and with the work of the Amenities, Rights of Way and Roads & Road Safety Committees, depending on skills and experience.

    We would like a highly motivated, innovative, organised and community focused applicant to undertake this key role and candidates will need to hold or be prepared to work towards the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) qualification. This part time post is initially for 60 hours per month with a salary from £32,910 pro rata
    depending on skills and experience.
