Wokingham Borough Libraries are encouraging children to snuggle up with a book this winter, by joining the Winter Mini Challenge. The Reading Agency’s national campaign encourages children to keep reading through the winter holidays by rewarding them for reading and reviewing three books.
The Winter Mini Challenge starts on Monday 2 December 2019 and finishes on Monday 13 January 2020. To take part children are simply required to read any three books of their choice, then rate and review them at www.winterreadingchallenge.org.uk.
Rating and reviewing three books online will unlock a virtual badge and a special Pugs of the Frozen North certificate to print off and keep! Books added to the website during this period will count towards unlocking the Mini Challenge rewards.
Participants will also be able to access a whole host of fun activities and reading recommendations, plus an exciting new competition. In addition, pop into any of our Borough Libraries where there will be a selection of Pugs of the Frozen North activity sheets for children to complete.
