Due to the pandemic there will not be the usual Parade and Service for Remembrance Day this year.
However, the Parish of Finchampstead and California is offering two online pre-recorded services for Remembrance, a 10.50am service which will follow the usual pattern of the in Church Service, and a 3pm service which will follow the pattern of the afternoon parade service. These will be led by Canon John Edwards and Reverend Gemma Donnell and will be streamed on Facebook and You Tube. You will be able to find the links here
A temporary Garden of Remembrance has been created on the green near St James’ Church with a cross, the memorial names and some prayers on laminated sheets. This Garden of Remembrance is available until Wednesday 11 November for people to visit, pray, lay wreaths and add poppies. These will be taken to the War Memorial on 11 November.
