The second phase of the South East Water project to install more than three kilometres of water main is nearing completion.

Our contractor, Clancy Docwra, has laid pipe from Finchampstead Road, through Billing Avenue and Gorse Ride South and along Nine Mile Ride, up to the junction of California Country Park.

The new water main will help us ensure we can continue to supply you with drinking water as the community grows.

Nine Mile Ride remains closed, however, the closure is due to be temporarily between 20th December and 6th January. This two-week break will help minimise disruption over the busy festive period and has been agreed by Wokingham Borough Council.

The same dates also apply to the road closure in White Horse Lane.

Once we return to site in January, we will begin the third and final phase of this £1.4 million project.

Nine Mile Ride will be closed from the junction of California Country Park to the junction of Park Lane and our clearly-signed diversion route will be in place.

Our contractor will continue laying pipe along Nine Mile Ride while also replacing an older, burst-prone water main in the same area.
