ARBORFIELD GARRISON STRATEGIC  DEVELOPMENT LOCATION

Work has started on the first phase of the development, involving the construction of 113 dwellings off Biggs Lane. 
Crest Nicholson has announced that the marketing name for the new community will be Arborfield Green.

NEW SECONDARY SCHOOL

Work has commenced on the new secondary school which will open in September 2016.  You can find out more on the schools and education pages at www.wokingham.gov.uk
 
THAMES VALLEY POLICE

GRATES, GULLIES AND DITCHES

Blocked gullies can cause flooding - please be a 'grate mate' and keep an eye on grates and gullies near your property.  If safe to do so, you can remove any debris from the gulley grate, but please do not try to clear the gulley yourself - report it to Wokingham Borough Council on 0118 9746000 or at www.wokingham.gov.uk

Our Annual Gathering for Parish residents will be held on 9 March 2016 at 7.30pm at the FBC Centre.  Please come along and hear about our work over the past year, and plans for the coming year.  There will be a talk by the Fire and Rescue Service, and refreshments will be available.

         LOCAL WALKS

There are 26 miles of rights of way in our Parish.  You can download a map, and find details of circular walks starting from St James' Church and from Simons Wood here

The annual 'Walk the Path' event will be held on 24 April 2016.  This is an 11 mile walk from Sandhurst to Swallowfield, along the River Blackwater.  Visit www.bvct.org.uk for details and online booking.
